Full-time finance assistant is a pivotal role within the business. It will involve support to the purchase ledger and sales ledger clerks ensuring cash flow is maximised through timely and accurate input of invoices and ensuring that all associated administration is completed to exacting standards in a time critical manner.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Setting up of cost centres and branches on sale order processing system
- Creating new accounts
- Chasing payments throughout the month to ensure customer payment terms
- Processing specific customer invoices on purchasing card
- Manual input of supplier invoices
- Reconciliation of supplier accounts to monthly statements
- Resolution of supplier queries
- Collection and distribution of daily post
- General filing of daybooks, expenses, invoices etc
- Manage the purchase ledger inbox and deal with supplier queries
- Printing of supplier invoices from the purchase ledge inbox
- Full-time

**Qualifications, experience and skills**
- Able to use Excel
- Fast and accurate inputting skills

**Personality profile**
- Diligent with attention to detail
- Able to develop inter-departmental relationships across accounts, purchasing and customer service
- A methodical and organised approach
- Able to prioritise and deal with interruptions effectively
- Effective telephone manner
- High level of numeracy

24 days holidays per year ( the business is closed over Christmas )

Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3 will be provided by Stepping Stones Education & Training.

**Salary**: From £5.28 per hour
