We have an exciting opportunity for Recovery Clinical Educator to join our team supporting perioperative education for our South sector theatre recovery practitioners.

We are seeking a passionate individual who can make a meaningful contribution to supporting excellence within the perioperative environment. The Recovery Clinical Educator will play an integral role in the management and delivery of education and staff development for both registered and unregistered members of the team. We are looking for an experienced, professional recovery practitioner with a passion for teaching and who has extensive recovery experience. You will be expected to function as an independent practitioner/clinical expert by virtue of your in-depth knowledge and experience. Furthermore, leading efforts related to implementation, evaluation and identification of evidence-based practice, staff specific education, and patient education.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Recovery practitioners who already possess postgraduate qualifications in teaching or significant equivalent experience. Ideally you should be educated to master's degree level or have the ability to demonstrate working at master's degree level appropriate to this clinical area. You should have evidence of significant post registration professional practice experience with a substantial portfolio of achievements in perioperative practice to undertake and fulfil the key areas required for this post

You will provide clinical leadership to affect a positive, safe patient recovery experience, with the desire to continually improve the service, whilst being part of a supportive team.

You are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service that may run over a seven day week. Furthermore, you will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service.
