Clinical Educator-renal Services

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday.
- The post holder will be responsible for:
- Leading the development, delivery and evaluation of specialty specific educational programs and sessions incorporating the needs of both qualified and unqualified staff as well as professional development of new nursing staff.
- Lead education initiatives within the renal service and promote continuous improvement of patient centered care. Responsible for ensuring that clinical practice within this specialty is up to date utilising guidelines, evidence based practice, research and audit.
- The post holder will be expected to provide a quarterly education report and training needs analysis for the directorate team in line with key government targets, initiatives. The post-holder will support staff clinically with particular emphasis on post registration nursing education.
- A key component of this role is the facilitating, monitoring, project management and operational support related to the quality and improvement agenda and the ongoing evaluation of the subsequent impact on clinical practice. A core component of this work will be the support of clinical teams with the implementation of CAAS.
It is essential you are a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, have evidence of continuing professional development and be educated to at least degree level. You should also have substantial post registration experience.
