The post holder is required to demonstrate effective working relationships and collaborative working with all stakeholders and professional education bodies. Liaise and engage with department managers and Care Group leads to effectively coordinate bookings and place utilisation for all courses / mandatory training. Flexible approach to communication style to meet the needs of different people and ensure information is communicated clearly. This includes active listening to ensure needs are met and that people have the information they require to make informed decisions.

Demonstrate professionalism and role model the Trusts values in all interactions, including when dealing with stakeholder enquiries, promoting a positive attitude to learning and development. Effective time-management skills including diary management and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload and meet targets and deadlines. Interpret data, including bookings, cancellations, DNAs and feedback from visitors to the department and use it to inform decision-making and support improvements to our offer. Simultaneously manage a caseload of different education and development planning activities and ensure quality and constancy across all courses offered.

Thorough follow up to ensure education and development related activity progresses as planned. Coordination of faculty and patients required for courses and training activity, including accommodation and travel arrangements. The post holder will play a key role in developing a culture of learning to support sustainable patient care, as outlined in the NHS People Plan. Demonstration of exceptional customer service skills through all interactions with internal and external stakeholders, making a significant contribution to customer experience and the department and Trusts reputation.

The post-holder will contribute to local cost improvement plans, as appropriate, by identifying and communicating to senior leads opportunities for financial efficiency savings. Work with relevant leads to utilise funding available to support course and training activity. Ensure that resources, such as course manuals, are available and used effectively. Responsible for ordering and following up orders for resources to ensure progression as required to meet activity.

Develop leadership skills in line with the Trusts Leadership Strategy. Demonstrate good levels of emotional intelligence when dealing with all stakeholders. Delegation of appropriate tasks to the administration support function. Deputise for the Education and Development Hub Deputy Team Lead, as appropriate.

Line management responsibility, as required. Responsible for ensuring training records are accurately maintained. Provide updates regarding planned and actual activity for reporting purposes, including report writing for internal and external stakeholders, as required. Effective use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, ESR and SharePoint to support activity related to the role.

Use of external education body web-based platforms to support course delivery, including responsibility for ensuring inputting of information is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Provide and deploy basic technical assistance to teaching faculty, including escalating to ICT when required. Identify opportunities to grow and develop the course and training offer, in partnership with key education leads, ensuring our offer is responsive to the needs of individual learners, professional groups and the organisation. Keep up to date with local, regional and national developments that impact course delivery and coordinate any changes required to ensure delivery in line with policy and guidance.

Being able to work unsupervised and act on own initiative when planning and implementing work. Recognising when support is required from relevant leads and escalating as appropriate.
