We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Governance Administrator to join our social care organisation. As the Governance Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance, transparency, and efficiency in our organisation's governance processes. Your responsibilities will involve managing board meetings, maintaining corporate records, and supporting the overall governance structure to uphold ethical standards and best practices within the organization.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in governance, board support, or administration.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional documents and meeting minutes.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and adherence to governance guidelines.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.

**Summary of Main Responsibilities**:

- Board/SLT Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize board meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and ensure all relevant documentation is distributed to board members in a timely manner.
- Minute Taking: Attend board meetings and accurately record meeting minutes, decisions, and action items. Distribute comprehensive meeting minutes promptly to relevant stakeholders.
- Corporate Records Management: Maintain and update organizational bylaws, policies, and other governing documents to reflect the latest revisions and changes.
- Compliance Oversight: Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards related to social care organizations, ensuring our organization remains in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Governance Policy Development: Collaborate with the management team to develop and revise governance policies, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and values.
- Board/SLT Member Support: Assist board members with any administrative needs, respond to inquiries, and provide necessary information for their effective decision-making.
- Ethics and Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality in handling sensitive governance information.
- Risk Management: Work closely with the Risk Management team to identify potential governance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Communication: Foster clear communication channels between the board, management team, and stakeholders, providing updates on governance matters as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance governance processes, increase efficiency, and streamline operations, and propose initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
