Job description

We are seeking to appoint a Welsh Language Officer to join the Welsh Language Unit within the University Secretary’s Office. As one of the largest higher education providers in Wales, the University provides an ideal setting for individuals to develop their careers, nurture their talent and make a difference.

Based at Pontypridd, but with remote working also possible, the main purpose of the role is to monitor and ensure that the University complies with its Welsh Language Standards Compliance Notice. The post-holder will work with colleagues within our faculties and departments to provide guidance on how to implement the Welsh Standards and make recommendations for improvement.

We are looking for an organised, self-motivated individual with an attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The ability to develop excellent working relationships with colleagues across the University and with our external stakeholders is also crucial.
