About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisor to join our team within secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taff. This role is critical in ensuring the continuation of education in the absence of the regular class teacher, fostering a positive learning environment and maintaining classroom discipline in a Welsh-medium educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the teaching staff, ensuring that pre-prepared educational activities are delivered.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and manage classroom behaviors effectively in both Welsh and English.
  • Assist in preparing learning materials and support during school exams and assessments.
  • Provide feedback on student performance to teachers and administrative staff.
  • Promote the use of the Welsh language in daily school activities.
Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Welsh (essential).
  • Experience in an educational setting or working with young people is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
