Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, due to an exciting period of expansion, are currently recruiting an experienced, diligent and results focused Finance Manager to join their team. This role can be hybrid (Home/Office) minimum 1 day aweek in Lancaster office.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, responsibilities to include,
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review with partners
- Month and Year End Profit and Loss Accounts. Balance Sheet reconciliation at year end.
- Preparation of accounts file at year end with supporting documentation.
- Daily Bank reconciliation & reconciliation of petty cash accounts in line with month end
- Prepare weekly Debtors/Creditors report
- Weekly Cash Flow Forecasting/Updating
- Monitor and oversee sales ledger & purchase ledger.
- Preparation of planned supplier payments.
- VAT returns
- Payroll knowledge to support department (weekly run)
- Credit Control Overseeing with ongoing credit control to ensure debtors stay within payment terms and consider the impact on projected cash flows.
- Analysis and improvement of current accounting issues.
- Overhead Analysis
- Fixed Asset register control / maintaining fixed asset inventory - competent in posting Finance Leases/ HPs
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
- Communicating with Inland Revenue, banks and external accountants when required

Ideally you will have experience within a comparable role and be fully CIMA/ACCA qualified or QBE with an analytical approach to work, computer literate with a working knowledge of Sage is essential, an eye for accuracy and an investigative nature. In addition,you will be committed to providing exemplary customer service and possess excellent time management skills together with the ability to prioritise your workload.
