Key Responsibilities

The role of the Accounts Assistant is to be responsible for their own set of finance duties as outlined below, working under the direction of the Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant must be capable of working unsupervised and managing their own key responsibilities to a highly detailed standard.

Key Tasks:
Accurate processing of supplier invoicesReconciliation of supplier statements and maintaining correct supplier balancesSupplier payments and correct reconciliation of sameDealing with all supplier queriesMonthly stock take preparation and completionEnsuring all documentation is completed to the agreed standard and timescale and that an effective system is in place for the filing, storage and retrieval of all documentsMonth end tasks to ensure close by the deadlineTasks to cover the Accounts Receivable Assistant as requiredDaily reconciliation of debit/credit card transactionsPreparation of cash for daily bankingResolving card payment queries with all departmentsAged Debtors reconciliationsOther adhoc tasks specified by the Finance Manager
The ideal Accounts Assistant will be studying towards their AAT and a strong knowledge of Excel is a pre-requisite. In return the succesful candidate can expect on going study support, fantastic working environment as well as 25 days holiday.
