HR Assistant

Dorsuite are looking for an experienced HR Assistant who is an extremely well-organised individual with a proven track record of balancing multiple priorities through a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be discreet with a natural desire to improve, both personally and professionally. You will play a key role working independently but support the wider organisation and have accountability to ensure that you provide consistent and timely support to all our teams.
- Provide first line employment advice
- Accurately process and record employees on HRIS
- Ensure all new hires are on boarded correctly
- Manage paperwork in relation to probationary periods, contract changes, flexible working requests etc
- Follow up on sickness absence, medical certificates etc on our HRIS
- Process all leaver information correctly, ensure correct calculation of outstanding holidays for payroll
- Update the Company intranet with internal vacancies and other relevant HR information
- Update HR templates
- Assist and perform HR activities to provide support across the business
- Occasional travel to other Dorsuite locations within the UK
- Cover for HR Manager during absence
Any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with the role
You will be confident dealing with data and reporting information, have previous experience using an HRIS as well as word, excel and outlook. Good numeracy and literacy skills are key, an eagerness to learn and develop and hold a current driving licence.
A formal administration qualification or working towards an HR qualification would be desirable as well as prior knowledge of manufacturing within the timber or door and window industry.
