**Job Description**:
Our client, a respected education establishment, seek a HR Support Assistant, for an interim period of 3 months.

**This role is based in Glasgow and is renumerated at a rate of £11.29 per hour.**

**Main duties**:

- Assist in the smooth running of the HR team, covering for other members of staff when necessary and be the first point of contact for staff and members of the public on a range of issues. The postholder will resolve issues where possible which will often require them to obtain further information and/or advice to do so and will follow up with individuals concerned. They will be expected to make a decision as to when to refer the matter onwards as appropriate, in order to facilitate a satisfactory conclusion and handle all queries in a responsive customer focused manner.- Provide staff with information and explain points, normally verbally and occasionally in writing, in response to recruitment questions, reference enquires, holiday calculation queries, leaver questions, etc.- Provide secretarial and administrative support for meetings including room booking and catering arrangements and diary coordination, typing of correspondence and reports, committee papers, files for Discipline or Grievance Hearings, staff review processes and also attend meetings to take informal minutes where required.- Develop an excellent working knowledge of the HR/Payroll system. The postholder will input data accurately, retrieve information and assist with the checking of housekeeping reports to ensure accuracy of the system, highlighting issues where these arise.-
- Take a co-ordinating responsibility for specified business processes as required, playing a lead role within and/or across the teams in ensuring the relevant processes are implemented and that the input of others is secured as necessary.- Undertake statutory right to work checks for new staff and administer the process of annual checks for international staff ensuring that the University is compliant with UKVI requirements at all times.- Ensure that filing and record keeping systems are kept up-to-date and are regularly reviewed to ensure efficiency and accuracy.- Promote equality and diversity across all activities.- Undertake other duties as required.
