We are excited to be working on a new opportunity for a Register Manager to join a fantastic children's home in the Leicestershire area.
**Job Role**
The Registered Manager for this role will oversee the home that houses children aged 7-18. As the Registered Manager you will be required to effectively demonstrate a detailed professional knowledge of the day to day running of the home whilst ensuing the servicemeets the key principles for residential childcare as set out within the 2015 guidance. The Registered Manager should have excellent communication skills with the staff and children living in the home and be able to develop a culture within the team of highaspiration for the children, which is demonstrated through the care, resources, and opportunities available to the children within the home.
**The duties and responsibilities also included, but are not limited to**:
- Reviewing the statutory requirements and monitoring the residential staff within the home to ensure that all the systems are following these requirements and that any new requirements are being implemented
- Promoting the home to external officers, whilst trying to maintain occupancy levels and developing a good relationship with referring agencies
- Meeting budgeting requirement through efficient methods and maintaining commercial awareness.
- Ability to assess risk and take appropriate action
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant managerial role
- Over 2 years' experience of working in a children's residential home
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care
- Have, or be working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent
- Hold a valid full UK driving licence and own a car
- Have excellent communication skills
- Good working knowledge of the relevant Children Acts and the relevant health and safety legislations, including COSHH.
