**Position Title: Administrator**

**Location/ Work Base**:Builth Wells Community Support (BWCS) Office,
1 Groe Street, Builth Wells, LD2 3DW

**Accountable to**:BWCS Manager

**Hours**: 25 hours per week

**Salary**: £15,072.70 per annum based on NJC Grade 5.

12 month contract initially, to be reviewed after 3 months

**Job Purpose**

Builth Wells Community Support is a registered charity and was established in 1995 to meet the needs of the people of Builth Wells and its surrounding area. Volunteers are recruited and managed to provide a variety of services within our local community.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

The Administrator will be computer literate and be required to carry out all aspects of general office administration, these duties will include:

- Cover reception desk when needed
- Maintenance of paper & digital filing systems, keeping efficient records, monitoring information & compiling statistics using a variety of software and systems
- Electronic management of correspondence, reports, policies & procedures and other governance documents
- Processing volunteer expenses
- Production of promotional materials including newsletters, information leaflets, posters etc
- Production of the organisation’s Annual Report
- Helping to organise networking and promotional events

Experience of working in an office environment
Excellent administration and organisational skills
Ability to plan and manage workload
Competence in the use of IT equipment and software such as office suites, social media, smart phones, and tablets.
Good communication skills, verbal and non-verbal via a range of media

**Desirable**:
Knowledge/experience of the community and voluntary sector
Experience of taking minutes
Experience of budgets/finance
A good knowledge of the local area

**Education and Training**

**Essential**:
Three GCSEs (English and maths plus one other) or equivalent
Enhanced DBS

**Desirable**:
Qualification in administration
