**Join Age UK Norfolks Supporting and Enabling Team**

**We are looking for a coordinator to cover West and North Norfolk. Your role would be to visit people 50+ in their home or care setting to help them connect **digitally with their own or a loaned device**. Your role would also include covering our telephone **befriending** service.**
- To deliver digital inclusion and telephone befriending services to the older people in Norfolk. To recruit and support volunteers.
- To contribute to the development and running of the services, ensuring a high-quality service is in place at all times.
- To contribute towards Age UK Norfolks Supporting and Enabling strategy.
- To make telephone befriending calls to members.
- To provide digital inclusion support, remotely or face to face with learners on a 121 or group basis and to create and maintain resource tools.
- To be a point of contact for service users, volunteers, professionals or members of the public; to field enquiries and answer questions about the services.
- To assist in the recruitment and DBS verifying of appropriate volunteers, ensuring an effective vetting, appointing, and training process is maintained.
- To provide ongoing support and training to volunteers to enable them to provide a high-quality service.
- To comply with all monitoring and evaluation requirements
- To maintain accurate case files and other records.
- To assist with any funding opportunities as required.
- To promote the services by ways of talks, presentations, articles and interviews.

To work as part of the wider organisation in a collaborative way to share best practice and to promote and refer to other services when appropriate
- To be part of the Telephone Befriending out of hours on call rota and to be able to deal with any queries or issues received while on call. (The Befriending Service operates between 9am and 7pm on all days of the year. The staff team work varying hours between 9am and 5pm Mon Fri. An On-call service is operated outside of these hours)

**General**:
To act as an ambassador for Age UK Norfolk.

To participate in the appraisal scheme and undertake training appropriate to the development of your job role and in line the Organisations statutory obligations.To work to the agreed standards and policies of the Organisation including public relations; equal opportunities; confidentiality; complaints procedure; personnel and financial procedures.
-To carry out other duties that are consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the post.

**This is a part time post of 25 hours per week (working pattern will be agreed with the** **successful** **applicant)**
**This is a homeworking role that includes travel across Norfolk, **predominantly** within West and North Norfolk you will need your own transport.**

**This role will require an enhanced DBS check**
