The Opportunity
To manage the booking of appraisal appointments for PRS High Net Worth clients from point of initial request through to completion of report. Circa 2,000 home appraisals are conducted annually, for the UK, Ireland and client homes in Continental Europe. The appointments with policyholders for these visits are booked via our Appraisal Booking Team (currently team of 3). This is a crucial role for a key part of our underwriting service and controls.
Your Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:
Co-ordinating appointments for a minimum of 4 Risk Consultants (likely 4) in London & the South East or other areas as appropriate. Minimum 25 visits per week to be booked.
Managing the liaison with clients from first issuance of appraisal request through to actual appointment & issuance of report. Sufficient knowledge of the appraisal process & reasons in order to communicate this effectively to the customer when making the appointments
Regular feedback to risk consultant to ensure they are clear on upcoming appointments with all appropriate information, effective diary management is in place at all times.
Interaction with Underwriting teams to assess any appraisal request - examples: gaining contact details, understanding need for an appraisal, ensuring risk consultant has any necessary documentation.
Some scheduling of overnight accommodation for regional or overseas trips on an intermittent basis.
Provide statistical information as and when required based on visits completed and/or outstanding. Also to keep manual tracks where required (i.e. cancellation log)
Carry out non-technical tasks that may arise on an ad hoc basis at the request of the manager.
**Qualifications**:
What skills & experience are required?
Previous experience in a customer facing / service orientated role.
Excelelent communication skills, Role is over 50% phone based making/receiving calls to/from high net worth clients and their brokers. Must have high confidence in undertaking this aspect of the role demonstrated by experience in a customer facing / service orientated role.
Strong diary management skills.
Ability to set deadlines and ensure they are met
Good rapport building to build relationships with brokers and clients
Tenacious to work with a client to find a suitable date
Good understanding of road networks around London, South East and/or ability to use mapping tools to find best routes
Good use of written English to liaise with clients and brokers by E mail
Able to work independently to manage outstanding appraisals under their control
