**HR Generalist (Maternity Cover - 9 months) - South Tyneside - up to 26k**

I'm working with one of my clients who're an energy company based in South Tyneside As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions and initiatives, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a point of contact for employees' questions, concerns, and HR-related matters. Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Support the performance appraisal process by providing guidance to managers, tracking performance review timelines, and assisting in the development of performance improvement plans.
- Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Plan and coordinate employee events, recognition programs, and other activities that promote a positive and inclusive work culture.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a HR Generalist
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

**Salary**: Up to £26,000.00 per year
