The Custom & Excise Administrator plays a key role to ensure legal documentation in support of the bonded warehouses.
The main responsibilities include maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations, facilitating the smooth flow of goods, and contributing to a world-class service through accurate data entry, effective communication, and adherence to key performance indicators.
**Key Responsibilities**
- You will be responsible for the data entry tasks related to customs and excise systems, including identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain the smooth flow of goods.
- You will manage and process the accurate documentation for goods in and goods out.
- Manages the systems, inputting and reconciling data with 100% accuracy and legal compliance.
- You will assist the Customs and Excise Manager in completing the monthly W1 returns on local and HMRC systems for customs compliance.
- You will communicates effectively with internal and external clients, adhering to HMRC rules and regulations.
- You will handle general administrative duties efficiently to deliver high-quality service to our customers.
- You will ensure correct and timely processing of the Custom &Excise duty, avoiding impact to the business and to our customers.
- You will adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
**About you**
- Working knowledge of basic administration principles and customs procedures.
- Familiarity with HMRC declarations and proficiency in general organisational tasks.
- Strong computer and system skills, particularly in using Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills, demonstrating the ability to manage one's workload effectively.
**What you can expect**
Salary range will be dependant on experience with the following:
- 25 days holiday excluding public holidays increasing after 2 years’ service
