**Accounts Payable Specialist (3-Month Contract)**

CHARM Therapeutics is a leading biotech company committed to transforming the field of medicine through innovative drug discovery and development. We are currently enhancing our financial operations team and are looking for a temporary Accounts Payable Specialist for a three-month contract to join our office in Cambridge, UK. This role will be essential in managing our financial transactions with precision and efficiency.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist at CHARM Therapeutics, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our financial processes and maintaining robust financial records. Your tasks will include:

- Processing incoming invoices, verifying their accuracy, and ensuring timely payments.
- Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of financial transactions and vendor contracts.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborating with procurement and budgeting teams to manage expenses and forecasts.
- Handling vendor queries and resolving discrepancies in payments or invoices.
- Utilising financial software systems such as Xero and Zahara to streamline payment processes and improve financial reporting.

**Role Requirements**
- You have a background in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in handling high volumes of invoices and familiarity with financial software, ideally Xero and Zahara.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulatory standards.
