**Role purpose**

Spire Southampton Hospital are looking for an experienced Compliance Administrator to join their fantastic team.

The role will be to maintain a robust system for maintenance and review of Consultant Practising Privileges documentation and where required, provide a range of administrative support to the Clinical Governance Lead

**Accountabilities and Activities**
- In order to ensure Spire Southampton Hospital complies with current legal, regulatory and professional requirements, manage the maintenance of the consultant’s database:

- ensure accurate/up to date paperwork is obtained and filed
- Liaise with consultants as necessary and appropriately regarding updates/ information required
- support the consultant biennial review process to ensure necessary paperwork is available and organise soft intelligence meeting in advance
- maintain awareness of any suspensions/withdrawals of consultant practicing privileges and ensure database updated accordingly
- ensure up-to-date communication circulated to relevant hospital staff, in the event of Consultants PPs being given, withdrawn or amended
- be aware that failure to maintain an up-to-date database, may result in adverse comments in the event of a regulatory inspection
- Liaise with the Business Development Manager regarding new consultant inductions
- Support the implementation process of any updates to the consultant handbook, to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained at Spire Southampton Hospital
- Manage all other processes relating to the consultant PP administration
- support the Clinical Governance Lead, Governance Manager and Risk Manager when required to ensure the smooth running of the governance office for any tasks that may need administrative assistance.

**Who we're looking for**
- proven experience in an administrative, project role
- a touch typing speed of at least 50wpm
- good working knowledge of Windows and relevant Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- familiarity with using the internet and undertaking web based research
- a good level of education to at least O Level/GCSE standard
- good verbal communication skills
- good business writing skills
- customer focus
- attention to detail
- confident and professional telephone handling skills
