**About Our Client**:
This role is working for a highly successful logistics business with multiple sites across the UK.The business offers an excellent, supportive and friendly culture whilst also looking to promote internally.

Payroll Team Leader duties include:

- The processing of all New Starters, Leavers, Change of Terms and Conditions, the processing, recording and payment of all Court Orders, plus any other changes to the pay record, also sending out e-payslips and P45's
- Manage the Time & Attendance data, liaising with Operational Managers, to ensure timely and accurate recording of information. Supporting managers with queries and timecard sign offs.
- Work with the HR Systems and Data Manager, to ensure pay data and reporting information extracted from the Time & Attendance system is correct. Assist with system changes to ensure data consistency is maintained.
- Responsible for the monthly uploads of all additional payments and absence data into our payroll system.
- The calculation and processing of all payments and adjustments in relation to absence, including Company and Statutory sick pay, plus other Statutory payments
- The accurate reporting and submissions to the HMRC, including the EPS and FPS, along with the monthly upload of the changes to tax codes and student loans. Also, making sure the payments are made on time every month
- Running the monthly pensions assessment process, processing opt ins, opt outs and changes to contributions, whilst reconciling the monthly pensions submission for our pension provider
- Set up, management and process of our company benefits, including Childcare Vouchers, C2W, Holiday Entitlement's, Private Medical Insurance etc.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all online Colleague Records
- Issuing letters to colleagues regarding pay and changes in a timely manner eg Maternity/Paternity, sickness absence payments etc.
- Responding to all colleague employee and financial reference requests
- Providing accurate and timely reporting for Finance and third parties, weekly and monthly to support the business
- Owner of our Payroll in-box, with the team, responding to queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Putting in robust solutions to reduce query numbers by improving internal processes and communication with the wider business
- Assist the Payroll Manager in the development and roll out of any colleague benefits
- Supporting the Payroll Manager with the processing of P11D's, P60's and the PSA so that they are issued accurately and efficiently
- Train, support and coach other members of the Team and deputise for the Payroll Manager as required

**The Successful Applicant**:
The successful Payroll Team Leader will:

- Have a proven track record in a similar role
- Hold or be studying towards a payroll qualification
- Be competent with MS Office, particularly MS Excel
- Knowledge of time & attendance systems would be highly advantageous
- Be able to work to strict deadlines
- Previous supervisory experience would be desirable
