A large organisation, with offices based in Wigan, require a Payroll Supervisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position would suit an experienced Payroll Supervisor seeking a new challenging role, or a Payroll Specialist looking to take their next steps in their career.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of a small team, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of weekly and monthly payrolls.

**Responsibilities**
- Daily management of small team
- Training of team members, including updates of legislative changes
- Setting up new starters and processing leavers
- Management of time and attendance system
- Making salary adjustments and calculation of overtime
- Manual calculation of statutory payments and deductions
- FPS and EPS submissions
- Managing and reconciling monthly pensions
- Setting up and managing company benefits
- Management of the payroll inbox and payroll queries
- Managing escalated queries from the team
- Producing payroll reports
- System maintenance, upgrades and implementation as required.

**Experience Required**
- At least 3 years' end to end payroll experience, either within a Payroll Administration position or supervisory capacity.
- Excellent technical knowledge of payroll
- Strong knowledge payroll legislation
- Ability to manually calculate payslips
- Excellent people skills, either with proven supervisory experience or desire to lead a small team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good systems knowledge, including Excel
