**Job Insight**

Responsible for overseeing a shift operation within our fast-paced fulfilment centers.

Reporting into the Fulfilment Centre Manager (FCM) and with accountability for approximately 30 team members, you will lead your shift in overseeing processes and systems whilst delivering on our customer promise. You will ensure all related activities are completed to plan whilst maintaining the highest Company standards across the pillars of safety, service, people, cost control, and quality., You will liaise with internal departments to deliver seamless operations and ensure service criteria is consistently achieved.

**Person Specification**

You will be a natural leader who understands operational excellence and someone that engenders trust and confidence to their peers and the wider 3PL team. You will possess excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to inspire and lead in creating a high performing team.

You will be an ambitious, committed FC professional provenin delivering results in a constantly evolving FMCG environment.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**

The role is varied. The responsibilities and duties below are for guidance and are not exhaustive.
- Daily planning and delivery of the warehouse shift operation ensuring customer demands are fulfilled in line with customer SLA and operating budget.
- Effectively manage a team of warehouse colleagues in consistently achieving performance to KPI across the pillars of safety, service, people, cost control, and quality.
- Accountability for the integrity of all payroll and agency hours consumed
- Work closely with the stock control team to ensure stock integrity and layout effectiveness whist embracing trend analysis.
- Work closely with stock control to ensure effective use of warehouse space in optimising warehouse utilisation.
- Performance management of your colleagues including reward and recognition, probationary reviews, appraisals, return to work interviews, and disciplinary matters.
- Coach, mentor and develop colleagues to optimise their performance and capability whilst identifying the next rising stars in creating a high performing team.
- Educate and embed safe working practices in pursuing a zero accident / incident culture.
- Through daily audit and accountability ensure housekeeping standards are consistently maintained to a high standard of appearance.
- Provide and present recurring operational updates to the FCM as required,
- As a registered key holder establish and maintain high standards of security in the warehouse and the site on the whole by ensuring security procedures are embedded.
- Conduct daily briefings and debriefings with your warehouse team with consistency of coverage across the pillars of safety, service, people, cost control, and quality
- Ensure all vehicles, machinery, and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose.
