Ainscough Crane Hire are recruiting a Payroll Assistant to join our busy HR / Payroll team based at our Standish, Wigan office. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will assist in processing a large weekly and monthly payroll accurately and within tight deadlines.

The Role
- Processing high volume payrolls
- Calculating and processing SMP, SPP and SSP payments
- Resolving queries from employees and their managers
- Checking and authorising operator timesheets in accordance with company Wage Agreements
- Processing P45's
- Processing BACS payments
- Creating and updating spreadsheets

Experience / Knowledge
- Processing payroll would be advantageous, but not essential
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ideally have a proven track record in finance
- Excellent Microsoft office skills particularly in Excel
- Great communication skills
- Secure necessary materials and parts for the work in good time, ordering/ chasing from supplier's if necessary
