Our Funeral Arrangers look after our clients and their individual needs. No two funerals are the same and our staff all aim to create a fitting tribute to the life of a loved one. Being a Funeral Arranger is very rewarding and meaningful position.

We have one position available that we are looking to fill working 5 days a week (9am - 5pm Monday - Friday) in our busy head office.

In the role the key duties are as follows:

- Follow the N E Downing (Blackheath) Ltd way of funeral arranging for which full training will be given
- Answering the telephone in a polite and efficient manner. Taking, recording and forwarding accurate messages.
- Accompanying family of the deceased to our Chapel of Rest
- Accompanying doctors to refrigeration units for examination of the deceased.
- Sale of pre-paid funeral plans for which full training will be given.
- Supporting families in making funerals arrangements
- Filling our relevant paperwork.
- Taking orders of Memorials, Floral requests and order of service.
- Collating all funeral paperwork and contact with ministers, cemeteries and crematoria.
- Be open and comfortable working within the funeral home.
- build positive relationships in the community
- Keeping the branch clean and tidy.

**About you**

No previous funeral arranger experience is necessary as in house training will be given to support you.

However, to be considered for an interview, you will need to consider the following;
- Previous experience in a customer-facing environment
- Evidence of managing multiple tasks successfully
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Proficient in IT - Experience of Word, Outlook and general IT skills
- Ability to travel around the company network periodically - car owner

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
