**About the role**

Arup invests in applied and basic research to drive business, societal, environmental, and scientific impact and to stimulate creativity, innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration across our firm. The Research Faculty within Arup University is responsible for the management of Arup’s Global Research Programme that includes a number of research funds accessible to all members across the firm. Funds are underpinned by research themes strategically defined at Arup that outline the priority areas for research for the current investment cycle. Each fund has a specific purpose and is adjudicated by Arup’s leadership groups. This way we ensure that we invest in blue-sky, basic, and applied research and that we deliver impact in both the short and long-term and internally and externally.

To support our Global Research Programme, we are seeking a Research Funds Administrator to enable the effective set-up, coordination and tracking of some of our key research funds and programmes.

**Responsibilities**
- Organise the set-up, adjudication process, and approval process for a number of research investments
- Organise meetings and events for a broad range of internal collaborators and stakeholder groups engaged in Research at Arup
- Play a key role in the daily management of research funds and associated projects
- Administer Arup’s internal system for fund management, monitor fund spent, and communicate funding status with project teams
- Engage with a broad set of global stakeholders, including regional research teams and leadership groups participating in the adjudication of research projects
- Assist the Research Faculty in their day-to-day management of research activities
- Monitor, analyse, and manage research projects and investments including project initiation, spend tracking, and close outs

**Skills and experience**
- Excellent administration, organisation, communication, and coordination skills
- Experience in using software tools for the management of investments
- Excellent programme and project management, planning, analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Excellent people skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of managerial and operational staff
