**JOB PROFILE**
To be the OFSTED registered Responsible Individual for The Woodbridge Family Centre Parent and Child Residential Home and act on behalf of the organisation to ensure that the Home meet the relevant requirements set out in legislation.
To provide effective leadership and management of the team. To ensure a high standard of consistent social work and service in accordance with legislation, central government guidance, regulations and standards, and the policies and procedures of The Woodbridge Family Centre
To oversee and consult with recommendations / decisions and management of placements at the Centre and to liaise with the Registered Manager in formulating jointly agreed plans to ensure a coordinated approach to services for children and young people.

Parents, carers, children and their needs/ wishes and views are central to the philosophy of the Woodbridge Family Centre. The support and guidance provided will focus on positive outcomes, a respect for human rights and for the values of the families themselves.
We are currently looking for a qualified Responsible Individual (RI) who will lead and manage our newest provision in Northampton. As the RI your key duties will include (but not be limited to);
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensuring the service is always child-focused and regularly check on the progress of the children and families within the service.
- Ensuring a consistently high standard of care and service in accordance with legislation, regulations, and standards (e.g., Residential Family Centres Regulations 2002; Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015; Residential Family Centres: National Minimum Standards 2013; Children and Families Act 2014), and service policies and procedures.
- Providing effective leadership and management as the RI of The Woodbridge Family Centre services for children and families.
- Overseeing operation of resources in the home, including approval of rotas; authorisation of overtime, provision of relief and agency cover and other establishment costs; staffing, financial management, administrative matters, standards of accommodation, fire precautions, health/safety precautions and staff learning, development and training.
- Provision of regular formal and informal supervision of management, encouraging professional development, completing/identifying training and staff development needs to ensure objectives are met.
- Liaising with operations and the registered manager on referrals and admissions to ensure the effective management of resource allocation in relation to placement matching, placement stability, and to support corporate parenting where appropriate.
- Ensuring the effective management and development of data systems in line with data protection legislation and guidelines (Data Protection Act 2018; General Data Protection Regulation 2016).
- A social work qualification.
- An up-to-date social work registration.
- Over five years’ experience in a senior managerial social work provision.
- Experience of multi-agency working.
- Experience of working in a residential setting.
