HR Officer

SF haver partnered with a leading Manufacturer in Dudley who are looking for an HR Officer on a permanent basis working solely from the office on a full time basis. Having gone through a period of growth over the last couple of years and having opened anew site, they are looking to bring in an HR Officer to join their function and cover a wide range of HR duties.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Implement, and manage effective HR systems, policies and procedures ensuring compliance with current employment law.
- Maintain awareness of business/departmental issues, building relationships with supervisors, managers and directors.
- Provide advice and support to management and employees in line with HR policy and processes.
- Exercise judgement and discretion in responding to sensitive issues such as employee relations queries and policy interpretation.
- Provide support and advice to Managers/supervisors on Disciplinary, Grievance and capability matters and maintaining records/tracking systems.
- Manage maternity/paternity matters and other entitlements, support HR Administrator as required.
- Advise on promotion and salary review discussions benchmarking as required
- Promote best practice and proactively monitor/manage ill health/long term sickness of employees highlighting concerns to relevant line manager.
- Develop return to work plans and where necessary discuss practical adjustments to the workplace with managers
- Leading projects as required to develop HR Objectives and ensure Company growth and efficiency eg policy updates, Handbooks and contracts
- Manage recruitment processes using a number of available resources, support Line Managers on recruitment process; ensure compliance with legislation for offers/eligibility to work.
*Ensure changes to contracts/leavers etc are administered correctly by the HR Administrator
- Ensure payroll receive information in a timely fashion so they can make the appropriate amendments
- Other ad hoc tasks as and when required by the HR Directors or other Directors of the Company.
- Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resource best practice
- Maintain an awareness of employee issues.
*Assist Health and Safety Manager to ensure best practice/H & S policy is being adhered to.
- Assist and Undertake training of Managers/employees as required.
- Engage employees on the Company Benefits i.e Benefithub, Retail Trust, Company Discounts, Pension Benefits, ESG
- Networking with other employers to be used as a benchmark
- Put forward suggestions to enhance the employer values
- Identify and advise on training and development needs
- To work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure all employees are compliant with the Company's Health and Safety policies.
