**Who we are looking for?**

**We are in search of a High Needs Coordinator to provide additional support to our learning centre. This role will be pivotal in supporting our vulnerable pupils who have an Education and Health Care Plan. A background in teaching or learning support with vulnerable pupils with additional learning needs, is essential.

A demonstrable track record in supporting pupils with an EHCP, including hands on learning support and involvement in reviews and engagement with the Local Authority is highly desirable.

**Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Complete 6 weekly reviews with EHCP students to monitor progress and set new targets
- Be responsible for a cohort of EHCP students
- Lead on small group pastoral sessions for EHCP students
- Actively engage with the Local Authority in terms of student recruitment
- Arrange, facilitate and conduct EHCP reviews
- Assist in the delivery of qualifications and support throughout their learner journey
- To ensure the Centre health & safety and security procedures are fully followed to ensure the safety of staff and students.
- Display a commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
- Actively promote equality and diversity in line with the Centre’s Equality & Diversity Policy.

Experience of working with pupils with additional needs is essential and either obtaining or working towards DSO status.
