**Your role at Orbit.**
We are looking for a capable and experienced Safeguarding Officer to working within our Tenancy Services CSAF team to ensure we deliver what we say we will and to help drive where we go next, we are looking for a dynamic and inspiring individual to focus on safeguarding, working from the Midlands and supporting wider teams in the South and East.
**As Safeguarding Officer CSAF you will**:
- To manage all Community Safety related safeguarding cases within set PI and KPI as agreed by Orbit.
- Reviewing concerns, gathering information, risk assessing and raising alerts to Local Authorities where appropriate, making support referral, providing advice and signposting.
- Create and manage strong professional relationships with partner agencies; including Local Authorities, MARAC, MAPPA, Fire Service and the Police Service ensuring that Orbit always plays its role as a landlord
**What will help you make a difference.**
- At least 3 years experience in successfully managing Safeguarding cases in a housing or local authority environment
- High level of knowledge in relevant legislation and best practice relating to Safeguarding Adults and Children
- Experience of successfully delivering good outcomes through partnership working
- An innovative thinker with an ability to be flexible in approach in a busy and ever changing environment
- Excellent verbal and other communication skills, including the ability to prepare complex reports
- High levels of IT literacy and analytical skills and the ability to understand trends and results
- Car owner - Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role and flexibility in ensuring the service is covered Mon - Fri 8.am - 8pm/Saturday 8am - 13.00pm
