**THE ROLE**

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the wider multi-discipline Maintenance team. The position will be involved in fault analysis and fixing of various plant based equipment such as pumps and motors.

The Maintenance team are a key part of the overall plant operations ensuring that various machinery and equipment is maintained and available in good working order.

The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Fault finding and maintaining of plant mechanical equipment.
- To plan and carry out planned preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment aiming to achieve maximum plant availability, with zero unplanned down time, along with other Maintenance tasks as instructed
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the site CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
- Assist with ensuring all maintenance equipment is regularly checked and is complaint with HSE regulations and that any defects are reported
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the workshop and the rest of the facility

**REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCES**

We are open to considering applicants from a range of different industry backgrounds, it's not essential to have prior experience in the Biomass or Waste-to-Energy fields.

We would however expect suitable applicants to have prior experiences of at least some of the following;
- An awareness of health & safety
- Works effectively as a team, can contribute to a team effort towards achieving set targets
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate
- A willingness to learn and support others, a can-do attitude, and a self-starter
