**We are looking for a responsible Freight Forwarding Coordinator to work within our road freight department, managing UK-EU exports.**

Job Responsibilities:

- **Shipment Coordination**: Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process for UK/EU road freight shipments, including quoting, booking and managing from collection to delivery.
- **Documentation and Compliance**: Prepare accurate shipping documentation, including invoices & customs paperwork, and any other required documentation.
- **Supplier/Customer Management**: Assist with finding new clients and opportunities for growth, whilst engaging with suppliers, negotiate rates, and establish strong working relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable services.
- **Customer Service**: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status, addressing enquiries and concerns, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the transportation process.
- **Problem Resolution**: Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during transportation, collaborating with internal teams, carriers, and clients to find timely and effective solutions.
- **Data Management**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments, including transportation costs, and relevant documentation, using our internal systems and software.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Contribute to the development and growth, with the implementation of process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Qualifications:
**Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination, with a focus on UK/EU road freight operations.

**Knowledge**: Solid understanding of UK/EU road freight regulations, customs procedures, and industry practices. Familiarity with Incoterms and import/export requirements is advantageous.

**Organisational Skills**: Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple shipments, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Attention to Detail**: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation preparation, shipment tracking, and data management.

**Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients & suppliers.

**Problem-Solving Abilities**: Proven ability to analyse and resolve operational issues, make sound decisions under pressure, and implement effective solutions.

**Technology Proficiency**: Proficient in using CRM software, cloud based operation tools and Microsoft Office.

**Team Player**: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
