The Role:
With one eye on the future, the business is looking to appoint a candidate into a Sales Executive capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, selling materials and negotiating deals with suppliers to ensure consistent stock levels. As you progress within the business and begin to build an understanding of its inner workings, there is a clear progression path ahead of you.
Responsibilities:
* Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
* Develop and execute promotional activities to drive customer engagement.
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.
* Coordinate with suppliers to secure optimal stock.
* Support all business staff in their daily activities.
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, prices and industry trends.
* Previous experience in a merchanting environment and a demonstrable sales record.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in basic computer applications and inventory management systems.
* Generally good standard of education; specific industry qualifications are a bonus.
