Taunton, United Kingdom St. Margaret’s Hospice Full time

**Location**:Yeovil or Taunton Hospice

**Hours**:20 hours per week

**Contract Type**:Permanent

**Salary**:£20,045.00 per annum

**Annual Leave Entitlement**: Initial 33 days annual leave (including bank holiday) increasing to 35 days pro rata after 1 year

St Margaret’s philosophy is to keep the patient at the heart of everything we do and we expect staff to uphold our values at all times and fulfill our commitment to providing excellent specialist palliative care for patients and support to their families. We go to great lengths to recruit the right people. We want people with a positive attitude who are willing to go the extra mile, not because they are asked to but because they are passionate about working for St Margaret’s.

**About the role**:
Being a clinical coordinator involves being the primary contact for all callers to our main telephone contact numbers. This can be healthcare professionals making patient referrals which we document and pass onto our duty clinicians, or answering calls from patients, families and carers, liaising with a variety of services within the hospice to pass on this information so that the right service team can follow up.

This is a critical role in helping to provide the support that patients and families need.

Previous experience of working in a health or social care setting would be desirable, although not essential as we will provide a comprehensive training programme and induction to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge required to undertake this challenging but rewarding role. We recognise that much of what we deal with on a day to day basis can be emotional and have a strong programme of support in place.

This is a primarily office based role, so ability to get to the Hospice site is essential.

**Our Core Competencies are**:
**Self awareness**

Understanding and being aware of yourself and how to react and interact with others

**Outcomes and results**

Organising ourselves to get the job done, delivering a high-quality service, and being accountable for the outcomes

**Working with others**

People working together to achieve team and organisational goals and respecting others

**Leading in your area**

Regardless of management position, we all lead and take responsibility in our area of work
