We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to join our exciting Public Health team. The successful applicant will work within the Children and Young People’s Public Health team, which is led by a Consultant in Public Health and includes Senior Public Health Specialists, Public Health Specialists and Public Health Practitioners.

The Public Health team is a friendly and hard-working team who are responsible for prevention of poor health, improving the quality of people’s lives, and reducing inequalities. Applications are encouraged from people who are keen to get involved in this work. Work will be based in Britannia House with a mixture of office-based and home-based working.

The Public Health team is part of our Health and Wellbeing Department. This also includes our Adult Social Care and Environmental Health teams. Bradford Council is a large unitary authority with an excellent reputation. The district provides an interesting and challenging environment for population health work, having a wide inequality in life expectancy but also strong partnership working across health and social care and the Voluntary, Community and Faith sectors.
