To do this we need a team of dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic people and have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engagement Programme Producer to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Head of Engagement (Programme), you’ll be leading socially-engaged creative programmes across the district that are integral to our City of Culture year. You will be an exemplar producer with experience in co-creating programmes with, for, and by communities. You will be able to ensure that complex processes feel simple for participants, communities, and artists to engage with. You will be able to lead a team of creative practitioners, artists, and producers to create hyper-local environments for communities to take power and define, own, make and shout about their culture.

You’ll need significant experience in producing programmes with, for and by communities of non-professional creatives, have produced process-led work and managed teams of professional creatives. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, if it sounds like your thing then we’d love to hear from you.

**Key responsibilities**:

- To recruit and line-manage producers to work with communities across Bradford District.
- To support producers in recruiting local artists / creative practitioners.
- To remove barriers to access so that we can work people who wouldn’t currently define themselves as regularly engaging with culture.
- To manage project budgets (including participatory budgeting processes) and report on them within the agreed framework.
- To develop shared training, best practice, and a network for artists and producers.
- To work with other members of the BD25 team to ensure a legacy beyond the programme (including an upskilled workforce and compelling research).
- To work with Engagement and Programme/ Producing teams to ensure we maximise engagement and audience opportunities throughout 2025.
- To work with the producing team to enable the co-created outputs are delivered.
- To work with the Volunteer teams to broaden engagement.
- To work with the relevant teams to ensure representation of young people.
- To develop strategic partnerships and local partners to help the programme meet its objectives and achieve legacy.
- To be part of the Safeguarding Team and to ensure appropriate safeguarding systems are in place, shared and are adhered to.
- To work closely with our evaluation team to ensure monitoring, evaluation and learning is embedded into the programme.
- To collaborate with the Audience team to ensure the programme reaches all communities and neighbourhoods and is communicated effectively.

**You will have**:

- Significant experience in producing creative programmes with, for and by communities of non-professional creatives.
- Experience in producing co-created and/or socially engaged practice projects.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively.
- Excellent people and team management skills, and experience of managing teams of professional creatives.
- Adept at working with different art-forms/ cross-art forms with a range of outputs.
- Proven ability to collaborate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Experience of monitoring / reporting against specific funding requirements.
- Flexible, highly organised, adaptable, solution-focussed with lateral problem solving skills.
- Passionate about removing barriers to engagement.
- Proven administrative and event management skills.

**It would also be great if you**:

- Have previously worked as part of a safeguarding team.
- Have an interest in or passion for arts, culture and heritage.
- Can communicate in one of the four other languages most widely spoken in the district (Urdu, Panjabi, Bengali or Polish), or BSL.
- Have knowledge of the Bradford District, Yorkshire and UK cultural infrastructure.
- Have experience of using project management systems.
- Have knowledge / practice in the social model of disability.
- Are enthusiastic about training, mentoring and supporting emerging talent.

**Benefits include**:
