Your New role

At National Highways we’re looking for a Business Services Manager to manage the effective delivery of business support and administrative services for the Region, championing continuous improvement and sharing best practice with other relevant functionsthroughout the organisation.

What you’ll be leading on
- Ensuring that all customer facing administration, such as responding to enquiries, correspondence and scheme related communications materials are delivered in a timely and professional manner, and in line with agreed quality standards.
- Delivering timely support to delivery colleagues (e.g. Scheme Delivery) with the administration of TTROs.
- Ensuring relevant workforce planning and scheduling activities are delivered in line with agreed standards and timescales.
- Providing adequate management support, across a number of administrative processes, to ensure that these are delivered in line with business requirements.
- Producing accurate and timely reports for inclusion in higher level management reporting, to support effective management decision making.
- Monitoring the performance of the team, ensuring all line management responsibilities are fulfilled, including performance management, attendance management and supporting staff in their ongoing development
- Ensuring that the Region’s fleet and equipment related administration duties are clearly understood and appropriately discharged; ensure good collaboration and communication with national Operations teams responsible for fleet and equipment management

To be Successful
- Previous experience of managing successful teams in a shared services or business service environment
- Experience with standard office software products to enable production and maintenance of a range of complex documents and spreadsheets
- Strong customer focus & stakeholder management
- Excellent organisational skills
