This is a challenging, yet rewarding role supporting the Patient Safety Manager, Quality Leads, Assistant Quality Leads and the wider team to deliver high quality, accurate and fair reviews of incidents.
We are looking for individuals with an analytical brain who can use their experience to investigate incidents to support the production of excellent written reports and identify learning for the Trust.
It is an exciting time to be joining the team with the advent of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), so adaptability and a willingness to embrace change is a must. This is an extremely demanding role which requires resilience, both emotionally and mentally; and the individual will need the ability to remain calm when working under pressure.
Support the delivery of quality for the Trust, ensuring safe, effective and high quality services, learning from experience with the welfare of patients and staff at the heart of this role.
Support the Quality Leads and Assistant Quality Leads in the implementation of the Trust’s Quality Strategy to ensure the Trust meets statutory and national obligations to continually improve service delivery.
Undertake Patient Experience and Adverse Incident (Inphase) Investigations and support/undertake complex investigations including Patient Safety and Coroners reviews.
In consultation with the Quality Lead, make recommendations for actions and support of learning responses.
Provide resilience for other functions within the Quality and Clinical Care Directorate.
This full time role will be based in either Exeter or Bristol with the opportunity for hybrid working.
Working for us is an experience like no other. We provide emergency and urgent care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, operating across the largest ambulance region in England and responding to an average of 2,650 incidents every day.
We remain committed to ensuring that we provide the best possible care for all our patients, which is reflected in our new five-year strategy which has continually improving patient care at its very core.
The role is based in Exeter or Bristol, some of the most vibrant, attractive and historically interesting cities in England, with excellent transport links and a great mix of independent shops, cafes and bars.
If you embody our values of one team, compassionate and innovative and are looking to make a real difference to peoples’ lives, then we would love to hear from you.
In return we will equip you with the skills and resources you need to thrive in your role.
You will have opportunities to progress to roles across the Trust and enjoy continuous professional development.
