In this role you will support with day-to-day transport operations across all networks, working for the Transport Operations Manager. The key responsibility in this role is clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, depots and other members of your team. You will also need to support in any other office functions that are required.

The shift hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, but there will be the requirement when needed to vary your hours to support operational requirements and cover absences and holidays as well as covering the late shift if required.

Major duties & responsibilities:

- Assist in supporting with day-to-day driver, warehouse, network and customer queries and
- Overseeing drivers progress throughout the day as well as monitoring timed deliveries to support the department in achieving network KPIs and ensuring all work is achieved in a timely manner.
- Carrying out various IT based tasks to be completed at specific times such as system imports & exports and label printing.
- Supporting the transport operations team with Network specific tasks such as:

- UPN - Typing network collections onto Stirling, checking of Change of Revenues (CORs)
- You may need to support with completing the previous night’s de-briefing tasks
- Ensure compliance with all legislation for Health &; Safety is upheld

**Profile**:

- Experience working in a transport operation and knowledge of the logistics industry
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes
- Strong communication skills are key to this role
- Good customer service skills and logical approach to problem solving Flexible and a team player

- Committed and dedicated to the role and providing the best possible service for the customer
- Experience of working with various IT systems and a quick learner to be able to learn new systems

Technical competencies:

- Previous administrative and transport experience is preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Excel & Word
- Adaptable IT skills
- Experience in using TMS systems is preferrable but training will be given
- Good attention to detail
