Lettings Administrator

Sutton Croft are proud to be working with partner agencies to mobilise a block of supported accommodation for a disadvantaged group of residents in Crawley, West Sussex.
As part of our mobilisation, we have a requirement for a Lettings Administrator to work with us on a flexible part-time basis for the next two months as we support new tenants moving in.
Working to support our Service Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the letting of the accommodation is managed in an efficient and legally compliant manner, including:
- Setting up and processing tenancy files from point of offer to move in
- Drafting and issuing tenancy agreements
- Carrying out 'right to rent' checks
- Ensuring new tenants are provided with the correct documentation
- Being an effective presence on site during mobilisation and tenant move in days
- Supporting the Service Manager with setting up and populating key systems and databases
- Managing the building's key register
- Undertaking reception duties in the building including managing visitors/contractors
- Providing general admin support for the team, including assisting with tenant enquiries
- Someone who has a positive, proactive and problem-solving approach
- Highly organised, efficient and able to manage and prioritise their workload
- Able to work with attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- An effective communicator, able to write clearly and concisely
- Able to engage with tenants who may have little experience of renting a home and/or for whom English is not their first language
- IT literate and confident using Microsoft Office products and cloud based databases
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Ideally experienced in lettings/property administration (although not essential as training provided)
- Ideally knowledgeable about tenancy agreements and housing law (although not essential as training provided)
The role is for 20 hours a week, ideally worked mornings across 4 or 5 days a week, but exact working patterns are flexible and open to discussion. Some flexibility to work additional paid hours beyond contracted time on days when business need requires would be an advantage.
