The Journals Editorial department is a thriving team of highly productive people who are passionate about research. We are responsible for the management, development and growth of a large portfolio of valuable, high-quality journals. We work closely with external editors, society partners, and internal colleagues to drive the success and long-term sustainability of the programme._

**Could you be our new Associate Director? Do you have?**
- _
Extensive experience in journals publishing, ideally including proven acquisitions experience._
- _ Strong people management, leadership and decision-making skills. _
- _Financial acumen and sound commercial judgement, with a track record of profitable list development._
- _ High level relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills. _
- _Highly effective delegation skills and the ability to cascade information appropriately. _
- _ Expert project management and prioritisation skills and a high level of adaptability._

**Your new role**:

- The Associate Director will contribute to the leadership of our large, complex and fast paced department. An experienced publishing professional, you will deliver on key business strategies around growth and productivity, as well as supporting cultural initiatives within the organisation. As a manager you will lead a team to achieve their goals, in line with business objectives, and support their professional development. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across Sage to implement projects, guide best practice and influence outcomes._
