**Could you be our new Associate Director, Research Integrity**? Are you?**
- _ A seasoned expert _on research integrity and publication ethics, with extensive experience in an editorial role and a strong background in research.
- _Highly adept in_ navigating complex ethical issues and managing sensitive situations with confidence, discretion and good judgement. Able to manage multiple expectations from diverse stakeholders.
- _An experienced manager _with proven ability to mentor and develop a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ethical awareness, and professional growth.
- _A strategic thought-leader, s_killed in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.
- _A proficient_ and collaborative communicator, with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

**Your new role**:

- _Provide strategic oversight and leadership in research integrity, influencing global standards and practices across Sage._
- _Develop_, maintain and enforce policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with ethical standards in publishing and industry best practice, and to respond proactively to emerging threats.
- _Working with key stakeholders, _translate the Editorial department's strategic objectives on quality and integrity into actionable plans that elevate SAGE's ethical policies and procedures across the global organisation.
- _Provide high level training and resources to internal teams and external stakeholders on best practices in research integrity and ethical publishing._
- _Lead collaborations with technology colleagues on innovative approaches to detecting ethical issues, with a focus on robust scalable solutions._
- _Lead the global Research Integrity team in handling cases arising on Sage journals: ensure the team is delivering _a high level of support and expertise to Sage staff, journal editors and other stakeholders.
- _Mentor and develop the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ethical awareness, and professional growth._
- _Manage risk to Sage's reputation and act as the point of escalation for the most complex and sensitive cases. _
- _Contribute to the development of global policies and processes that support Sage's aims to publish content that is inclusive and free from bias._
- _Represent Sage in_ the broader scholarly communications community, upholding Sage’s reputation for quality and integrity.
- _Working with the [Senior] Research Integrity Manager, prepare reports and communicate with senior management about issues, trends, and progress in research integrity efforts._
