Director, Client Accounting

**Reports to**: Head of Private Wealth
**Responsibilities**:
Overall responsibility for leading the Client Accounting function in Guernsey in relation to the outsourced model, managing smooth interactions between the Private Wealth administration teams and the outsourced remote team.
**Tasks**:
- Providing close team and client management support to ensure an excellent quality of service.
- Actively participate and manage all aspects and activities relating to the outsourced model for the client accounting function in Guernsey.
- Acting as the interface between the Private Wealth administration teams and the outsourced remote team.
- Ensuring that the on-site team of coordinators plan and prioritise daily tasks.
- Regularly reporting, ensuring KPIs and regulatory and tax filing requirements are met, to include quarterly reporting to the management team and to Group, as well as contributing to the quarterly Board meetings for the different areas of the business.
- Providing high-level technical support to the administration teams, undertaking complex accounting tasks and reviews of high-level accounts as required.
- Ensuring that the team meet and exceed business objectives, regulatory
- Working closely with the Private Wealth Support team by assisting in the tax exchange information reporting for FATCA and CRS, ensuring submission deadlines are met.
- Acting as adviser in respect of setting accounts fee levels and reviewing recoverability statistics. Being the go-to person in relation to any billing queries from the Finance team.
- Developing the capability and performance of staff in the on-site and outsources team on an on-going basis to meet the needs of the business line now and in the future.
- Ensuring an environment of shared knowledge and learning exists to deliver superior client service.
- Acting as a role model to implement a culture which supports the Group Values and ensure engagement of all staff to deliver excellent client service, operational effectiveness and efficiencies
- Actively lead and perform in line with both local and Group initiatives
- Proactively participate in the promotion of a positive culture at both local and Group level
- Pro-actively manage own development, encompassing both technical and leadership requirements to a level appropriate to role that supports the Group Values
- Use your own judgement to bring to the attention of (senior) management any issues which you feel appropriate, in particular ensuring that concerns and identified risks are reported in a timely and effective manner
**Qualifications**

- Qualified Accountant
- **Background experience**:
- Extensive experience within a Client Accounting function
- **Technical**:
- Excellent knowledge of Trust and Company Accounts
- **Computer / program knowledge**:
- Microsoft Office suite, Jobstream
- **Management and leadership**:
- Strong People Manager
