**A day in the life of an Ascent Business Coordinator**
- To provide a wide range of efficient and effective business support services to enable the Business Unit (BU) to achieve its planned objectives.
- The role of Business Co-ordinator will encompass some or all the below responsibilities which are collaboratively delivered through the Business Management Team. Specific responsibilities will be assigned within the team based upon background and agreed specialist interest areas of the Business Co-ordinators.
- The post holder will be expected to undertake other duties as requested by the Business Manager (BM), commensurate with the grade.

**Safety and Assurance**
- Undertake health and safety related tasks where required to support the Ascent Safety and Environmental Management Co-ordinator (SEMCo).
- Deliver health and safety briefs to building occupants and visitors, maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in functional safety meetings and cascade information across the business to ensure effective communication flow.
- Conduct workplace inspections in line with the Company Safety and Environmental Management System (CoSEMS), ensuring that issues are resolved/escalated appropriately. o Visitor management, ensuring compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). o Support the BM with the management of the small fleet of vehicles. o Support the creation, development, and ongoing maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) processes for key activities within the business support area, ensuring that they are in line with the requirements of ISO 9001.
- Ensure personal compliance and appropriately address third party non-compliance with safety or QMS processes relevant to role.
- Work closely with the Ascent Training Management Team to provide data quality checks with the customer ensuring corrections are captured and processes are updated where required.

**People**
- Champion diversity and inclusion and be a role model for the Ascent values.
- Work collaboratively and in consultation with other team members and the Training Support Hub.
- Assist with organising events, meetings, and internal/external visits.
- Assist all departments with the co-ordination of mandatory training.
- Travel and accommodation management for the BU as required.
- Utilise the various business media platforms to ensure updates are suitably communicated.
- Provide cover as required for other team members.

**Customer**
- Effective customer service and relationship management across a range of stakeholders/partners/staff and trainees.
- Uphold partnering behaviours and participate in networking events as required.
- Act as a main point of contact (POC) for stakeholders/partners/staff and trainees, ensuring appropriate signposting for query resolution.
- Participate in the Internal Validation (InVal) process where required and adequately address and escalate any business support related points.
- Support and deputise for the BM as required.

**Performance**
- Collation, analysis and reporting on specific Management Information (MI) for the business, working closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to transition to more efficient and automated methodologies.
- Ensuring deadlines are met and information provided is accurate and consistently structured and stored.
- Provide general policy guidance and advice to support compliance, working with divisional specialists (e.g., IT, Finance, H&S etc.) as required.
- Assist the BM with monitoring the performance of suppliers to ensure that they comply with their contractual requirements.
- Support the BM with managing internal and external business change.
- Act as an administrator for specific IT requests, such as folder and SharePoint access permissions ensuring compliance with security protocols.

**Financial**
- Monitor and control costs within agreed funding lines.
