Pensions Administrator

Join our Pension team and provide technical, operational, and analytical support, along with ad-hoc project support in the delivery of pension initiatives across the company’s pension arrangements.
This role will ideally be based on a Hybrid working pattern based from our offices in Bournemouth
NOTE this is a 9 month contract
**About you**:
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (e.g., v-lookups/pivot tables)
- Competent use of MS Word (e.g., letter merging)
- Experience of using HR systems - preferred but not essential
- An basic understanding of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes - preferred
- Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to prioritise
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal - build relations with internal and external parties
- Ability to present material to their peers in a concise and clear manner

**Details**:
- Uses good technical understanding and judgement of pensions to own and resolve queries through the Pensions mailbox.
- Deals with suppliers, insurers, administrators, advisers, Trustees, internal and external teams to ensure that queries are resolved, with limited supervision
- Ensure MyChoice is maintained from a pensions perspective and liaise with the Benefits Team where required to resolve any queries.
- Owns and completes monthly, quarterly, and annual processes and tasks as required e.g., ONS Survey, monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Manages the payment of invoices, ensuring the invoices are authorised and paid on time, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Creates new processes where required e.g., as a result of legislation changes
- Identifies opportunity to improve processes.
- Produces reporting for the Pensions Partner and projects where required. The reports come from a number of sources so developing a good understanding of where specific data is held.
- Assists with employee and pension scheme member communications i.e., Scheme website, member packs and intranet campaigns.
- Support the delivery of pension projects, as well as ad hoc projects, in line with pension scheme and business needs.
