An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the library in providing a high-quality Library experience for our Users.

This varied role will suit someone enthusiastic about working with students and who has a positive and empathetic approach to customer service. The User Services team takes pride in supporting an excellent learning environment, both digitally and physically for our patrons. The post holder will be passionate about maintaining and developing the service offer.

The User Services Supervisor will supervise the daily running of the library building and staff deployment. This will require an ability to troubleshoot operational issues that may arise. You will have excellent organisational and multitasking skills which will ensure you can focus on more that one task at a time.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required for this role and an ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and Library Users.

The post holder will line manage a small team of Library Assistants and casual workers. This requires delivering training, resolving any day-to-day issues, encouraging, and empowering the team.

In an ever-growing digital environment, the post holder will have excellent IT skills and the ability and desire to learn new systems.

This mostly an on-campus role with some capacity for dynamic working. It is not suitable for regular remote working. It may occasionally be required to be flexible on evenings and weekends for events such as Open Days.
