Corporate Governance Secretary, permanent, £35598-£40591 doe, hybrid working (6 days a month minimum in Brighton office) for large public sector organization. You must have good working knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Governance team which is responsible for driving the continuous development of governance structures and processes. You will be responsible for running and managing one or more of our senior committees, you will own and manage key central government reporting requirements and you will provide advice and support on governance good practice and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
- Board and Committee Support: Assisting with the provision of support to the board, committees and other key executive committees of the regulator including meeting planning, logistics, agenda setting and attendance at relevant meetings for minuting; recording and tracking actions
- Supporting the collection, compilation, upload and distribution of board and committee papers, using Convene and SharePoint, maintaining accurate records and complying with data controls and measures.
- Managing the updating of the corporate forward planner for the board and committees, ensuring all activities are initiated and completed in a timely manner
- Ensuring good information flows within the board and its committees and between senior management
- Updating the registers for declarations of interest ensuring compliance and transparency.

The Corporate Governance Secretary must have the following skillset:

- Excellent communication skills; able to communicate clearly, concisely, confidently, and appropriately with senior executives and board members.
- Formal minute taking of lengthy and sometimes technically complex meetings.
- A proactive approach, with excellent administrative and organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Proactive and flexible
- Ability to prioritise and use initiative
- Calm under pressure
- Negotiating and stakeholder management skills

The Corporate Governance Secretary offers a permanent contract, salary between £35598-40591 doe, 25 days holidays plus Bank Holiday, civil service pension, flexible working, hybrid working (minimum 6 days per month working from the Brighton office) and genuine opportunities to progress. Parking is on a rota basis.

You must live within commutable distance of Brighton, East Sussex, UK and have the right to work in the UK as our client is unable to offer sponsorship.
