Thorne & Derrick are the UK's leading distributor of LV-HV Electrical Power Products and Hazardous Area Electrical, HVAC & Process Instrumentation Equipment. Supplying worldwide into the following markets - Power and Utilities, Renewable Energy, Construction, Rail, Mining and Quarrying, Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industries.
Due to continued expansion Thorne & Derrick have an opportunity for an Accounts and Sales Office Admin Assistant. You will be working within our busy Sales Office and Accounts functions located at our Industrial Sales and Warehousing facility at Whitchurch, Bristol.
**Tasks**
- Purchase ledger duties
- Receiving and recording purchase invoices
- Checking purchase invoices are accurate
- Dealing with internal enquiries from other team members
- Obtaining POD’s and approving invoices for payment
- Proactively resolving queries with suppliers
- Checking statements and invoices
- Speaking to customers on the aged debtors list
- Database maintenance
- In addition to purchase ledger duties you will be required to assist with other accounts office duties and occasionally sales office duties to cover holidays.
**You will have the following skills and qualifications**
- A minimum of 5 GCSE passes including Maths and English
- Competent in the use of Sage 200, Microsoft Excel, Outlook
- A positive and flexible attitude to work
- Excellent written communication skills
- A confident telephone manner
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm
25 days paid holiday per annum pro rata
