Families Empowered provide highly effective, attachment-focussed and trauma-informed therapeutic interventions and training for adoptive, SGO and foster families. We are immersed in the principles of DDP and PACE, and work with warmth, understanding and expertise to help families living with trauma build resilience, insight and stability. We work with children, adolescents and adults on a group or individual basis in both face-to-face and online therapeutic settings.

We are a preferred provider of therapeutic and training services for Essex, Suffolk and Thurrock. We also work with Adopt East, Hertfordshire and Barnardo’s, among others.

We are looking for **confident DDP-informed practitioners **to join our team and help us deliver a range of ASF-compliant therapeutic and training services, working closely with local authorities and agencies. This includes:

- DDP therapy
- Nurturing Attachment Groups for Adopters and Special Guardians
- Attachment-Focussed Therapy
- Therapeutic Parenting Support (PACE)
- Therapeutic Life Story Work.

You will be working on a **self employed basis **alongside our friendly team of dedicated professionals. In return for your commitment, we offer regular consultations, therapeutic group consultations and opportunities for training and development.

You will be working from home to deliver online services but any in-person work will require travel to homes and therapy rooms at various locations across **Hertfordshire and Essex**. As only limited travel costs can be covered, local applicants who can cover these regions are preferred.

Can you:

- Deliver high-quality, DDP-informed therapeutic services with passion, integrity and consistency?
- Build and maintain relationships with children and their families, professional networks and peers using a non-judgemental and empathic approach, even when under pressure?
- Provide insightful, succinct and timely evaluations and reporting that add real value?
- Attend and actively participate in staff development sessions, team meetings, individual or group supervision and therapeutic supervision and other meetings as required?
- Work proactively and independently to manage your workload and communicate your capacity levels clearly?
- Deliver hybrid face-to-face and online services for families from locations in Essex or Hertfordshire?
- Work flexibly and occasionally outside standard working hours to meet the needs of the service as required?

**Hourly rate**:£35-£45 per hour, depending on skills and experience

**Requirements & Conditions**
- Training to DDP Level 2
- Experience of working in an adoption or fostering setting
- Experience of working with trauma and loss
- Experience delivering training across a range of settings
- Able to undertake work in Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work or relevant therapy or counselling qualification, with a minimum of three years’ post qualification experience
- Membership of relevant professional body e.g. Social Work England (SWE), The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), The British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT), Play Therapy UK (PTUK), The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Happy to work with us on a self-employed basis for minimum 12 hours/5 families per week
- A car, with a clean driving licence and business insurance.
