Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team as a leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing line management and supervision to our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner team, working as part of our senior management team, and accepting referrals via agreed protocols within our service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide line management and clinical supervision to the PWP team
  • Work as part of the senior management team
  • Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service
  • Assess and support individuals with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery
  • Undertake patient-centred interviews to identify areas where the individual wishes to see change and or recovery, and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and others
  • Provide a range of information and support for evidence-based high-volume low-intensity psychological treatments, including guided self-help computerised CBT, information about pharmacological treatments, and other therapeutic interventions

Requirements
  • Hold a NHS Talking Therapies compliant Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification from a training programme that is accredited by the British Psychological Society, and hold registration with a professional body
  • Provide line management and clinical supervision to qualified and trainee PWPs
  • Offer evidence-based practice in facilitated self-help, computerised CBT, and stress management groups
  • Work within the NHS Talking Therapies service providing high-volume low-intensity interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression
  • Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment, where appropriate
