We currently have a full time SAT Bookings Clerk position available within our Cardiology team. The post is a permanent position.
ABOUT THE TEAM

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Cardiology team, supporting the team with the daily running of the care group’s Arrhythmia service. You will work with our EP (Electrophysiology) consultants and CRM nurses. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of our EP outpatient clinics and will be a point of contact for patients under our care. The post is full time working Monday - Friday (37.5 hours) to cover business hours.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Previous experience of working with the Trust computerised administration systems is desirable, as you will be actively involved in using the hospital computer-based system. You will be supporting the team by overseeing essential booking and managing of our patients, including having oversight of our outpatient capacity. Experience in an NHS setting would be desirable.

You should have a caring, courteous manner with a thorough understanding of good customer service skills. The role is varied and busy and you will need to have a flexible approach to a demanding workload with changing priorities.

An understanding of the clinical environment and previous experience in administration would be beneficial but not essential.

You will have a good general level of education and be computer literate. You will have experience of working with the general public and an excellent telephone manner. You must be able to work well both within a team and unsupervised, have good communication and organisational skills and be able to work efficiently under pressure.

You should enjoy working as part of a varied multidisciplinary team, and will have contact with medical and nursing staff, GP practices, patients and other District General hospitals.
